Ülkü Hancar
Motivation Wizard — Founder of English Drama House
With a special passion for English throughout her education, Ülkü Hancar graduated from Kadir Has Anatolian High School in 1991 and entered Marmara University Faculty of Communication in the same year.
During her university years, she worked as an English news editor and announcer on various radio and national TV channels. After graduating in 1995, she worked in PR and translation across various service sectors, primarily healthcare.
Choosing to continue her career in education after the birth of her son, Ülkü Hancar participated in national and international ELT programs, specializing in English language education.
After meeting English drama trainer Laura Woodward during her training, who opened the magical door of English drama to her, she focused on specializing in this field and integrated English drama activities into her teaching practices.
During the six years she worked with Psychopedagogue Dr. Atanur Mert, founder of Aydo Children's House, she developed herself on the importance of drama and play in child development according to the Vienna school, and began designing her own games.
Upon the insistence of parents who wanted their children to experience Ülkü Hancar's unique and specialized games, she established English Drama House in 2010.
Having educated thousands of children during her 20+ years of teaching, Ülkü Teacher continues her work at English Drama House. She is married and a mother of two.
